标致为了让 205 获得参加拉力赛的认证而打造了 205 Rallye，它搭载一台 100 马力[sic]发动机，而其动力上的不足则由极其轻量化的车身来弥补，尤其是在更便宜的高性能版本上。为了将性能最大化，车内一切未固定的东西都被拆除了，甚至连一些固定着的东西也未能幸免。
